That spot in BC broke the record again today hitting 117. We were at 107 which is unheard of in the lower mainland. Its midnight now and thermometer in the house reads 92!

I feel for you guys big time. In summer here it's not uncommon to get 40-45c.

You guys keep that extreme heat over there....it's in the 90's here this week and that is plenty hot when you have to work outside for a living.

I've been arguing this very concept with my perpetually frozen wife for years! Here I am trying to work on my damn truck in 100 deg weather for the fifth time this week and I can't strip down. Meanwhile she's out there in friggin fuzzy pants complaining she's cold!

I'll take cold any day! Screw the heat!

Played golf yesterday. First and only time I wanted to stop after 13 holes. And this is in upstate NY. Boy, wished I still lived in New Smyrna Beach......nah. Glad to be home. But I do need this computer expert. :)

Has anybody else noticed that years ago when the Weather Service used analog thermometers, they tracked with your analog thermometer at home, and now that they use digital ones, they aren't even close to the same readings as your old analog thermometers read?

We've actually been having a mild summer down here in central Texas so far, considering we start hitting the mid-90s in May and start frying in June on average. Lots of rain this spring, too. Rain chances for the next two weeks, which is very rare this time of year. I know it's gotta be tough for those not use to the kind of heat we experience every year, like us having that deadly freeze back in February that we're not used to.

I'll take the heat over the cold anytime. Plus, I like being able to drive all year round. The best thing about winter down here is you don't have to cut the lawn for a few months.
