This 1977 Z28 with only 456 miles was sold last weekend for $71,500 in an on-line auction. This was part of the Beneveti Chevrolet Dealer collection in Iowa. There were several other low mile cars selling, some still with the widow stickers attached. Apparently he kept a few cars for his own personal collection?
Also sold was a special order triple black 1972 Monte Carlo with 3000 miles for $105,000!

Here's a couple of links I found on the list of cars...

    I wouldn't pay 70 Z28 prices for a 77.

I still think there is something fishy about this car. My car is almost identical (but with fewer options). The decals are NOT correct for a silver car. Not only that, the front fender Z28 decals are not even close to being correctly positioned as the factory would have. Also, the grill emblem is not correctly positioned. It should be one notch higher and one notch toward the driver side. These are things that could easily have happened during a 43 year lifetime, but, the seller is claiming it is "new in the bag". It probably is a legit Z28, but I think it's been messed with.

    That's an incredible car!
But, maybe somebody can explain why the body number on the body tag (BL 05214) doesn't match what's on the build sheet (BL 05X23 - 3rd number hard to make out)? Also, the post mentions NOM (not original motor) but the trans & rearend are original to the car AND the engine & trans numbers (505910) match the build sheet - seems like a contradictory statement. Not wanting to detract from the car - anyone would love to own it.

Wonder how it got near 500 miles on it if it was destined to be in a collection? But I'd assume the buyer (at that price) knew exactly what it was.
