And these are the coilover plates I use as reinforcement .I know they say just bolt in the coilovers,but I have trust issues with old stamps,Pa roads,and a street driven BB.Theyre from speedway.I had to cut them down alot for my 67 chevelle,but these popped right in.Unfortunately,I have to trim about a half inch off the bottoms,holes miss.I'll paint them up before assembly.
Got them both in.I learned from my first qa1 install,lol.Keep the adjuster rings low,like 1-1/2,1-1/4 on first install.I made the mistake the first time of putting them in the center of the shock,lol.Not this time.So it sits nice,I just have to bring up the drivers side a 1/4",then hook up the sway bar and steering.
The dtivers side works out with the spring pocket gully,but the passenger side does not.So I guessed a half and it was a quarter.I clocked the passenger side spring exactly opposite of the upper spring indent uptop.
No pics,but I did luck out on having to bring the one side up.
I had left a jackstand outback under the pass side rear axle.It was giving me that 1/4" dip in the drivers front,lol.
I removed it and bob was my uncle.So I hooked everything back up and im just needing time to make a set of alignment tools for me,so I can recheck it.I did it years ago when I built the car,and I just flipped tires thru all this.Noticed some outer wear on the front pass tire.So Im just going to cut some 2"x2" metal angle pieces,drill them and bolt them to the rotors for easier measuring.I was laying on the floor before,measuring from tire treads.Got an event here today,so no camaro time.
