Hi everyone,
I just joined in hopes of some help finding my mom's 1979 Z28. Unfortunately, I don't have a ton of information, but what I do have makes it sound fairly unique. Here are the details:
1979 Z28
Light Blue Metallic
automatic
rear positraction (I think that's the correct term)
Sold sometime in the 1980's
Purchased in the southeast USA
Might have been sold in Alabama, Texas, or Nebraska
and here's where it gets unique:
it was special ordered and has her name engraved on a gold plate on the dash, although I suspect subsequent owners may have removed it. Her name is Joan.
She says it was special ordered with the L82 Corvette engine. Based on some limited online research, it looks like this engine was not offered in the 1979 model year for the Camaro. If this is correct, that would make this a pretty unique car. Or maybe I'm just wrong, and it was available that year.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, if anyone has seen it or, if I'm incredibly lucky, if anyone happens to have it.
