Hey fellas,

Does anyone on here have a good body/metal work guy in or around Greenville, SC ? I have a 2nd gen Camaro currently, and am in the process of trying to find someone who I can use in the future.

I know this kind of work is hard, I know it takes time, and I GREATLY respect anyone who does it well. I know guys that do this are a dying breed.

Some of the best guys I found are so booked out you can't even get on their books.

Does anyone here know anyone or have suggestions? Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

It's like that everywhere I'm just north of Asheville and do restoration work on the side (24 years in a production shop) everybody is behind I've got jobs lined up at least 3 years probably more. I've been working on my own personal 70 restomod for probably 5 years when I get time. Good luck with your search.

Don't know if it would work for you but I was in the same boat about 5 years ago working on my 68 C10. A local body shop "let" me do all the body work under their supervision in their shop. I stripped all the old paint off the truck and then took it in pieces to the body shop. One piece at a time I primed, sanded, primed and sanded. As said above it's hard work. When I thought it looked good the body shop owner would tell me "keep sanding". LOL.
They sprayed the paint and color sanded and buffed. It turned out great.
The young guys in the shop enjoyed telling an older guy what to to.
Good luck.

Thanks for the response/s. Body Work is one of the things that I just can’t do. I’ve learned how to do most things on my own.

Kind of makes me wish I could do it.

Not sure what you need done, but I just got my 70RS back from the AMD Installation Center and they did a great job in pretty short order. I need to get a thread going, but felt they were fair. Cleveland Georgia is out in the middle of no where, but worth the drive!
