81 "Red" interior (one year).... Makes my carmine interior look dull in comparison.

New sway bar bolts and mufflers too.
(Even mufflers which haven't been driven will eventually get some crust on the exterior.)

The computer controlled carb on this engine may run clean but I've never seen tailpipes that clean on the inside.

VERY nice car but not quite a time capsule.

The car sat for quite some time, mufflers ended up being invaded, and the owner decided that in order to sell the car for the most he could to have all the brakes done and to have a new exhaust done including a new cat. The rear bumper and valance panel I can understand the point you brought up and will question the seller when I speak with him again. The intake I am guessing is miss colored due to coolant splashing on it? I do believe the seller mentioned to have had work done on the cooling system

Yes I noticed things that would make me question the actual mileage on this car. Also get rid of the add on flairs and put the rest of the stripes back on and it would be a huge improvement. Nice car though.

All of the above comments on added on flares and stripes? Look in trunk and door jams around the car for signs of a respray. I would be willing to bet with the way the paint is comming of the quarter and trunk lid it has been repainted.

Coolant system repair doesn't require painting the intake or the block

You can see exposed primer and overspray in both of these pics.... it's had paint work done to it.

Is that normal for the VIN rivets to have been put in from the top? I've never seen one like that as the 76, 79, and 71 I have had came in from the bottom

Its correct, but like everybody noticed, there are some red flags, 17,000 miles seems low for look of motor.

Nice Car that has had some new shocks, probably brakes, steering etc work, except no AC,,,, so that is a killer on the price I'd pay. Some may like to be stinky and sweaty while driving a super clean and nice car.
