I have to admit I paid $550 for an LQ4 with 92K miles with all accessories. It was already out of the truck so I never heard it run. But the harness, computer, fuse block and OBDII was all there. I thought it was a smokin' deal at the time. Still do. I would tear it down and make it a 408, so I didn't care much if I'd heard it run or not. The deals are out there, but if you need one on the quick, carpart is a good resource also.

Anyone know of any deals local to me, I'd drive up to probably 8 hours away to pick something up if the price is right. I just found an 03 1500 with 100k on the odo, $1200 obo, rear ended someone, wrapped the radiator around the engine so I dunno if the harness or accessories got hurt. But $1200 obo for the entire truck sounds good, I can part it out and probably make money off it or crush it for a little $$ back

What engine is in the truck? If it's the 6.0 liter, that would be a heck of a deal if you're willing to do the part-out. You might actually might make a few bucks on that deal depending on the damage to the thing.

    Check car-part.com. http://car-part.com/

I'm waiting to hear back from the guy so I can check it out. Even if its a 5.3 it is a decent deal, I would part it out to make $ and keep looking for what I want

    If it's a 1500 series, isn't that a 5.3? Did they put a 6 liter in a 1/2 ton?

Yup had the littl'n too. Although the 4.8 is what Hot Rod pushed 1206HP out of with a cam swap, head swap an turbo @ 26psi boost
