    Is a T56 going to fit in a 1973 4 speed manual?

Easy answer, yes. It will take a new shifter hump , I believe Holley has a great one.

It will. You may need to some cutting depending on the mounts used and engine placement.

I have a magnum in my 70, minimal cutting and a little massaging. Fits better than a TKO did. I have a hooker shifter hump I didn’t use, if interested.

Right there with Badazz--- I have a big block with a magnum, minimal cutting!--about the size of a postcard for the shifter to come through.

No issue fitting. My T56 and LS3 work extremely well together. Only problem I have is the lower part of the bell housing has bottomed out a few times, but that's likely because my car is sitting lower than I like.
