I was still in NY at the time but I remember Wetson's burgers were 12 or 15 cents...
Once again I’m giving away my age but I do remember those prices. I don’t remember the fish sandwiches though but maybe they didn’t sell them in Pittsburgh where I grew up.
I remember them. Also the local Sandy's that got into a price war with McDonalds. Sandy's was bought by Hardee's.
I remember buying a Mcdonalds hamburger, fries, and soft drink for just under 50 cents. I won't say what year that was because it would make me look old.
We were dirt poor, but Mom would get me a box of McDonald's cookies sometimes. We could not afford to eat there.
Growing up in Pittsburgh you have to remember Winky's and Burger Chef. They were in direct competition with McDonald's back then.
Goodness, the year won't make you look old. your appearance does that.
We didn't have Winky's but we did have Burger Chef. My brother-in-law worked for them when he was working on his Business degree. He wouldn't eat there either.
Menu from the year I was born...I wish they still had the McDLT and deep fried cherry/apple pies from the 80's/90's..mmmmm
Thats when money actually was worth some thing .
