I saw the car and a buddy of mine Scott who works for Mecum told me he was trying to get $165k at their last auction and turned down $135k so he installed new Bonspeed wheels (like I had on the Chevelle except full polished) and consigned it here.

It had a Jag rear end with inboard discs and a trick Ingelese (probably misspelled) intake...paint was nice too, resale red.

LOL, you're right that's not my bag but that doesn't make me less of a gear head, just doesn't float my boat.

Anything I do automotive moving forward will require lots of nitro and roof high flames, that's where my interest lies.

Well John, auto week is history...were you able to broker a deal on the show field? Sure would be nice if a sale came out of this weekend for you.

Nothing happened, car is home in my garage, total re-cleaning process begins today...a bit disappointed in Mecum,I feel I would have had success on another day or at another auction but it was an experience...and the car certainly got exposure.

Got some irons in the fire from before Mecum, I'm sure the car will sell...right now I may have a little fun with it first since it's running so well then I'll promote it more if it doesn't sell right away.

Not too concerned about it right now but will need the space when the new car arrives late October.
