Rand how did you get a title that has 2 different dates issue/purchased?

When we bought the car it was the daily driver, and the wife was on the title too, but she got tired of signing everything for it....plates, etc, and it was my car anyway, so she had me take her name off the title.
(She has her own ride)

And that is why it still retained the original purchase date.

Which stamp are you referring to on the front engine pad? The CKO stamp or the VIN? Every Norwood L78/Z28 I've seen has the VIN stamped down on the bell housing flange in the rough casting.

Yeah the CKO stamp, I had to put a steel bell housing, but I still have the original up in the garage.

Would you mind posting a picture of the front engine stamp. Is it a Norwood build?
Mark

.

Yeah it's Norwood.....I bought a replacement fan shroud, so I'll try to get a pix while I'm working on it....
It SAYS its a GM replica, but it's not the same as the original... :(

Ed, your VIN stamp will be on the block NOT the bellhousing. It's located on the flange at the back of the block where the bellhousing attaches, just above the oil filter. It's stamped in the rough casting so it's diffucult to read or even see most of the time.
