More pain than painless wiring harness.

Trying to install the trunk section with this painless harness and coming up about a foot short from the plug connection on top of the wheel well to the driver side tail lamp. Has anybody else encountered this problem? I hate to splice and lengthen it. There are many more issues than this but have worked them out.

First thing I would do is contact Painless about the issue. Most people I have seen posting about Painless say they fit properly, a foot is a long way off, you shouldn't have to modify a part that is supposed to fit your vehicle.

I used painless for my 78 no problem with wire lenghts

My original laid in the trunk drop then went up the inner fender thru the hole that the plugs were clipped to. Is there any way you could take a picture of what you did?
