    I just got off the phone with MSD. They told me the 6AL will work with my Mallory and the spiral core wires. He said to not use the solid wire core wires; but, their spiral core wires would be fine. I hope he's right.

    When you say power resistor do you mean ballast resistor or do you mean a Mallory will restrict the power from a MSD?

    Thanks, I'll look into it. I'd still rather have a set of headers that would make it easier. There's probably not a long tube set made this way.

    Sorry, i meant a ballast resistor. Learned to use one after burning out centers of two dist. caps because missing a resistor.

    No problem. I've never used a MSD 6AL before and I want to be sure I don't screw up my ignition system.

    The Mallory will still burn out with na Mallory ballast resister and coil.I got 10 passes on it.
    I have over 1,000 passes on the MSD 85551, Blaster II and 6al without a missed beat.

    Screw what the guy at MSD said. If both hhott71 and K5JMP say go with a Pro Billet, I'll do it. I'd rather be sure than wonder every time I go out in the car if I'll make back home.
