Replacing my cap and the new MSD came with a black one which I believe is low resistance and a bronze one. My current setup is a MSD probillit dist with a 6Al box. Question is which one should I use. The bronze or black one? Looking at the old one it was bronze but I don't remember having two to choose from. Thanks.

The bushing is to set the amount of mech advance.
Use the same one as was on there before.

    Way to help guys.

The black bushing is made of carbon and provides resistance to suppress EMI (electro magnetic interference) with electronics. Radios, etc.

The brass one is solid metal and will provide lower resistance but EMI will be increased. I wouldn't use it on a car with a nice stero or a bunch of electronic accessories.

I use the brass one and have no problems but I do not have a radio.
