According to Wiki, he is referred to as a "Doctor of Intergalactic Environmental Psychology". So he's not an EMT, but an IEP.

My bad. According to some google articles, DLR said he was a state-licensed EMT in New York.
On another note, Tom Araya of SLAYER was a respiratory therapist and used his money to help finance their first record. Turned out to be a good investment I would say.
