I know I could order new hardware, but I have all the bolts and then some between two parts cars, I just dumped what I had in a container with vinegar to remove the rust...I'm going to paint them with low gloss black engine paint...should be fine.

Checked it this morning...24 hours later, still bubbling away...it's crazy we use this stuff to make pickles

I thought about it, but I really didn't want to cobble a set of s-10 brakes and trying to locate parts.

I also read that's there' not much improvement from swapping over to z28 or firebird 2nd gen stock discs

I spent $40 for the parts to rebuild my drums so I can get a reliable running car, may look into an aftermarket kit in the future as an "upgrade" when I get my car done and want to start tweaking it.

My 71 has the factory disc/drum setup and although I plan some upgrades, I'm pleasantly surprised at how good they are.

Not much else going on, I still have the car up on jackstands waiting to redo my rear drums. I ordered all the parts from rockauto to basically re-do the whole set-up (springs, valves, adjusters, pads). Whole shebang cost me $40 shipped. May tackle that this weekend.

I also ordered some moog 5160 coil springs to get my front down a bit. I have new stock leafs in the rear with 1" blocks so we'll see where this gets me. If they come in tomorrow, I'll do that this weekend too.

Get all this swapped out and then I'll bleed the brakes and get the car off the jackstands.
