Well moving on from last weekends bushing debacle..lol

I got my springs(Moog 6450) and had painted the new calipers blue. Thought it'd be a cool picture.

After renting a coil spring tool, doing the jack thing, etc. I got them in.

I thought I'd put the Calipers on to get an idea of how it'll look. I still need to check my rotors and see if they are worth using, if so I'll grab some bearings and pads and hopefully, put the car back on it's wheels. Worry about steering gear soon enough.

Hope everyone has had a good Thanksgiving weekend. I needed to get out of the house so Saturday i went and grabbed a new pair of rotors, inner and outer bearings for each side, dust caps, seals and brake pads.

The last few cars I've had I like to degrease and paint the areas of the rotors that never get contact like the hub, and the perimeter, just keeps a neater look as you use it.

This picture if showing where I repaired a tear in the dust shield on the passenger side. When i got the car you could hear a dragging noise against the brake. It had hit something and peeled back. I welded it back and painted both shields:

Greased, sealed and ready for install:

I made one of those black seals for both sides, so in case you notice..haha

Of all the things I ended up short on at the end of the project was a kotter pin for the spindle..I'll grab one tomorrow and get the cap on :)

Front back on the ground! First time since like July or so, when I pulled the subframe and painted it.

With all that under control (I really wanted front back on the ground because the subframe was getting rather heavy.

I think in a couple weeks I'm going to order door skins and try to get the passenger compartment sealed in with interior..etc.

    Thanks!

The paint on the Calipers is the bright blue engine paint you find at most of the autostores, Duplicolor brand with the ceramic. I think it was Ford Blue but this one doesn't say on the cap.
