For just cruising around, the factory seat was fine. But on the track, you use the shifter and steering wheel to hold yourself in place – not a good idea. Through Summit, I got a Pro car seat and track. It’s medium quality and does a good job, but not like what you would get if you spent good money or took one out of a modern car. I had to perform some modifications to the new track because it was way too high when I put it in. I don’t know if there’s something unique about the tracks on a 1970 versus the other years. It was a tight fit, but it’s definitely better now.
