My uncle owns a plastics business (signage, panels, etc...) I was considering removing the rear tail lights and center black pieces on my '78 and making it one continuous red lens with sequential LEDs for turn signals. (If he can help out)
Took a couple more shots of the tail lights tonight... Man the brake lights are just blindingly bright...
That's awesome. Now I gotta find a way to convert mine. BRIGHT is what I definitely want especially with my blackouts. One of the coolest upgrades you can ever do. Love the halo's for driving lights.
Search the net... there are a lot of places that sell LED lights of all shapes and sizes. My guess is you guys could probably find something that would work. http://www.vehiclelight.com/ledstli.html http://www.hyper-lights.com/index.php?cPath=49
Aceshigh did it. He used the same LED modules I did. Came out really nice. Given the tail lens geometry of a late 2nd gen, someone following behind his car wouldn't expect circular brake lights to come on- it's one of those "hey that's pretty cool!" surprises.
