So far my drives have been within a 10 mile or so radius of the house but now a 180 mile road trip is coming soon. The biker son of a neighbor suggested this scenic route.

Will head 62 miles NNW just past a cross-road place of Anderson to Yankees Tavern and Grill for a burger and fries. (Heck of a name for a Texas country place). From there head east 60 miles or so through the Sam Houston National Forest then back to the house.

A sunny day in the 70s, windows down and the stereo cranking out great tunes.

Hey Andrew, might be short notice, you are welcome to come along but would have to be in the back seat.

Glad to see after all the years of work you have done on Christine that you will finally get to enjoy her. You will get a lot of head turners and thumbs up. Take a few pictures for us to enjoy.

I have liked road trips ever since my took on them during the simmer time .Such as going on route 66 during the 1960s .One of my favorites was taking Highway 1 all the way the west coast from California to Washington State ..When I got discharged from the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton to my home in Seattle .I did that in my 1979 Z-28 when it was fairly stock.
