    Check it out...
My girlfriend bought her Dad's car. A 55 2-door post...
Her Dad started building the car 20-years ago. The man is a perfectionist - the shoebox is immaculate.
Her Dad is dying from cancer. She wanted his legacy - nobody would have or drive his car but her.
He did all the work, sheet metal, mechanics, mods, wiring, everything but the paint (Victory Red). 74 Camaro front clip, 71 truck 350 and turbo 400, 57 Chevy rearend, 2004 Accord electric seats, Vintage Air, you name it.
Looks like my Camaro will be sittin' next to a mighty fine 55 at the car meets - and I'll be sittin' next to my mighty fine GF!

That is awesome, who doesn't love a girl who loves cars? She's a keeper! ALways preferred the 55 over the 57.

Nice that the '55 is staying in the family. I'm sure your Girlfriend would much rather be the owner under way better circumstances. Prayers for her Dad. He, obviously, helped raise a wonderful Lady. She's a keeper.

What a nice thing to do. Pass a sweet car down to your next generation of family. Sorry to hear about your father in law. Takes a special guy to raise a special girl. You really lucked out in all ways.

I'm very sorry to hear about her father, but that is awesome she was able to buy it and have it to enjoy for ever. That is a beautiful 55. This is one of the cars on my list I'd like to have in my collection before I move on.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone that commented on, viewed and/or "liked" this post.
Deb's father passed away this afternoon. We're both very happy to say "No more suffering."
We will miss the man. He was an extraordinary guy with endless stories to tell (even if I heard them more than once!).

Driver's seat, getting instructions from Dad - her first time behind the wheel.

The last car show. It's up to Deb and I now!

Sorry to hear of you and your wife's loss but like you said, at least he isn't suffering anymore. My thoughts and prayers go to you and your family.
