Hi,
I posted some pics in another thread relating to S/F connectors, but figured I'd start my own thread.
I picked up this old dog a few weeks ago from a co-worker who put it together around 10 yrs ago when he was 19. He did a ton of work to it and drove it year round for 3 plus yrs. The salt was not kind to it at all and all the new parts and body work he did are now covered in rust.
Now its my turn!
car is pretty cool and he gave me a decent deal on it. I figured it's worth the effort since he put so much into it years ago, it deserves to live on a little longer.
It has a nice 350 built similar to a ZZ4, T56, 3.73 posi from a T/A, full poly bushings, Pypes exhaust, custom I/P(I redid to make it my own), and a bunch of other goodies.
My first order of business is to fix the torque boxes, P-side rear frame rail, and rear floors.
Thanks for following along!

Got the torque boxes out and new ones fitted. Slotted holes and round datum hole are not even close on the repro parts, BTW...

Got the frame rail and torque boxes all welded in today. I added some diamond gussets since I chopped thru the inner reinforcements.
My crappy welding skills are improving my grinding skills for sure :D

Thanks! Definitley wasn't treated the best, but mostly just normal Michigan tin worms. You guys are lucky down south!

Pictures like this make me grateful that my '81 spent its entire life in LA, before I had it shipped here to Michigan in 2016 (where it obviously stays parked for winter).

You're doing some killer work, bringing that car back to life. Keep it up!
