Got the heads on for good and guide plates aligned and studs torqued down last night. Should have it pretty much buttoned up by the weekend.

Sometimes I question whether or not I should be doing this stuff. I know enough to be dangerous and enough to get myself in trouble because of it, lol!

Well, she's running, and she's a spicy unit. Amazed at the power increase over the old engine. What took WOT with the old one is now 1/2 to 5/8 throttle, and haven't even run it past 5000 rpm yet. Need to to up the primary squirter to clean up a lean stumble off idle, but other than that, it runs really clean. AFR's around 13.5 at cruise and 12-12.5 under hard accel.
Really impressed with the cam, too. Sounds mean as hell at idle, pulls like a freight train and purrs at 1500 rpm in 5th gear like a kitten. I'm sold on custom ground cams.
Hoping to log some break-in miles over the weekend and open up that rev limiter a bit more.:bowtie:
