Starting to look like a car again.
It looks amazing brother, seriously Well done.
Well, I decided to get the windshield re-set and the rear window replaced altogether. I knew they leaked a bit, but didn’t realize how bad until I pulled the masking tape from around the perimeter. It’s been on there since I started sanding on the body. The wet sand residue migrated around about 40% of the rear glass. Both windows were set poorly in urethane at some point. So, until I get the windshield in, the front sheet metal won’t be going on. It’s ok, I’ve got a million other little things that can be done in the meantime.
What a mess, really should have done this before paint. Plus side is I have access to pro window install equipment, so more than likely I’ll be setting the glass myself.
Sucks about the window rails, but better now than after its all in and rolling through a rain storm
Well, it's all cleaned up and patched up after another marathon weekend. I knew the A-pillars were questionable and didn't really want to open that can, but did anyway. I have a hard time half assing stuff so I patched with sheet metal. Broke the windshield getting it out even though I was trying to be super careful. Oh well, it had a few deep scratches that would have bugged me.
Trying to decide on paint for the dash top and rear deck. Thinking flat rustoleum with hardener added to bring back a little sheen. Just worried about UV fade. Thoughts?
Like a fab and fill, nice job
