My 1968 and 1969 Chevelle Assembly Manuals (UPC 8, Sheet B2 and UPC 8, Sheet B2) list GM # 1376973 as the optional fuel cap listed in these assembly manuals except for pick-up (El camino) and Station Wagon models. The other cap listed is GM # 1378122.

NOTE #1: The N.O.S. 1376973 fuel caps shown in photos # 8 & #9 are for comparison purposes only.

NOTE #2:
The 1964-1967 Chevelle models used fuel cap # 3850591 which was replaced by the 1376973 cap in Oct. 1968 for parts sold over the counter as per my 1965-1973 Chevrolet Parts History manual.

For Sale: N.O.S. Stant Fuel Cap (stamped "VENTED" and "ANTI SURGE") that is exactly like the Stant "G46A" fuel cap and GM # 3931449 fuel cap except that it does not have the large letter "S" on the rivet head but rather has a small letter "S" on one of the arms as shown in photo #2. The cap measures about 2.2" in diameter and 2.5" from "bump out" to "bump out". I assume that this cap was made many years after 1970 when Stant "cut corners" by not stamping the large letter "S" on the rivet head and did not stamped their logo on one of the arms.
Since Stant made fuel caps for GM this cap is basically the same as a N.O.S. GM # 3931449 fuel cap that I sold years age and is listed in my 1970 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Jan. 1970) for the following models:
70 Pass. (exc. E.E.C.)
70 Nova, Chevelle (exc. Sta. Wag., El Camino)
70 Chevelle (Sta. Wag., El Camino) (exc. E.E.C.)

GM # 3931449 is not listed in my 1969 or older Chevrolet Parts Catalogs.

My 1970 Chevelle Assembly Manual (UPC 8, Sheet B2) lists GM # 3843698 for the Chevelle fuel cap and GM # 3931449 for the El Camino fuel cap.

According to GM Parts History for parts sold over the counter GM # 3843698 was replaced by GM # 3931449 sometime between Aug. 1985 and Jan. 1990.

$5 for the newer version NOS Stant Fuel Cap with the small "S" as shown in the photos plus shipping and Paypal fee (if applicable).
If interested or if there are any questions, SEND ME A PM and SPECIFY ITEM # 52.
Note: I do combine shipping for other parts purchased within a 2 month period.

For Sale: Used Original 7-Blade Fan for "late"1969 and 1970 Camaro Z28, "late" 1969 & 1970 Chevelle, Nova and Chevrolet models w/ A.C., 1976 Camaro (350) models w/ A.C. The fan is stamped "914087" (the Schwitzner part number, the manufacturer), "E75" (the date code, May 1975) and "3947772" (the GM part number). GM # 3947772 was discontinued in May 1972 as per Chevrolet Parts History for parts sold over the counter and replaced with GM # 393996 which was an all steel 7-blade fan. Apparently sometime in 1974 the 3947772 fan was re-issued for 1974-1975 Chevrolet Nova 6 cyl. models with A.C., 1976 "A" (Chevelle) models (250 eng.) w/ A.C. , 1976 "F" (Camaro) models (250, 350 engines) models w/ A.C., and 1976 "X" (Nova) models w/ H.D. Rad. as listed in my 1975 and 1976 Chevrolet Parts Catalogs (April 1975) and in Gr. 1.064. I removed the fan myself in a salvage yard from a 1975 Nova w/A.C.

The fan is in good useable condition without any damage or dents but should be cleaned and then re-painted. The fan has 7 aluminum blades but the steel "arms" are made of steel and do have rust on them.
GM # 3947772 is listed in the 1970 Camaro Assembly Manual (UPC Z28, Sheet A6).

Note: This fan has a 2 1/4" pitch. In my collection I still have a very similar 3937779 fan which has a 2" pitch that was used on "early" 1969 Z28 and "early" 1969 Chevrolet models with A.C. The 3937779 fan was replaced by the 3947772 fan in Jan. 1969 as per Chevrolet Parts History for service parts sold over the counter.

$50 for the original 3947772 Fan plus shipping and Paypal fee (if applicable).
I do not combine shipping with this fan.
If interested, SEND ME A PM and SPECIFY Item # 53.

For Sale: GM Goodyear convenience spare tire with 16" X 4" wheel with both a 4 3/4" diameter bolt circle and a 5" diameter bolt circle (10 lug holes). The hub hole measures 3" in diameter. In the vicinity of the valve the wheel is stamped "TB 9 1 (valve) 29 RS" where "TB" = the manufacturer, I assume; "9" = the year 1979 (or maybe it is 1989???); "1" = January; "29" = 29th day of the month; and "RS" = the wheel code (see photos #3 and #11). I measured the offset of this "RS" wheel and came up with an off set of about 1 5/16" (33 mm+/-).

The size of this tire is T145/80D16. The T145/80D16 spare measured about 5 3/4" in width (145 mm = 5.71", close enough) and theoretically just over 25" in diameter ((80% X 5.71" X 2) + 16") = 25.1".
The tire itself appears to be in very good condition without any cracking in the rubber, however, since the date code on the tire is "089" (8th week of the year and 1979, I assume) which makes the tire about 34 years old and probably not safe to drive on public streets and highways. The spare should be used for "show" only.

My 1976-1981 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Sept. 1980) lists the following in Gr. 5.803:
GM # 9590371 for 1981 Camaro models: WHEEL (16 X 4) COMPACT SPARE (STAMPED RS).
GM # 9590927 for 1981 Camaro models: WHEEL (16 X 4) COMPACT SPARE (STAMPED TV).
GM # 9590363 for 1981 Camaro models (exc. stowaway spare, G80): WHEEL (15 X 4) COMPACT SPARE (STAMPED RT).
All 1970-1981 Camaro models use wheels with the 4 3/4" diameter bolt circle.

GM # 9590371 is also listed for 1980-1981 B models (full size Chevrolets) which use the 5" diameter bolt circle holes on the wheel.

SPECIAL NOTE #1: I do not have a 1981 Camaro Assembly Manual, however, according to the "1981 Camaro Specifications" that is available on line on the GM Heritage website the spare tire wheel size is listed as 16 X 4: OFFSET - 33 mm (1.3"). This checks out with my "RS" wheel offset measurement. The spare tire size is listed as tire "BASE - T125/80D16" and "WITH LIMITED SLIP DIFF. - T155/90D16". The T155/90D16 spare calculates out to be about 5 3/4" wide (155 mm = 6.10") and 27" in diameter ((90% X 6.10" X 2) + 16") = 27.0".

SPECIAL NOTE #2: New T155/90D16 tires (27" in diameter) are still available for sale and will fit on this 16" X 4" "RS" wheel and therefore could actually be used as a real spare tire to drive on real roadway in emergency situations for maybe the next 5 to 10 years.

$40 for the "RS" convenience spare plus shipping cost. Local pick is also an option in Merrimack, NH (50 miles north west of Boston, MA.).
If interested, SEND ME A PM and SPECIFY ITEM # 54.

For Sale: Nice Used Original Heater Hose Coupling Nipple for Water Pump, GM part # 3736495 (2 3/4" O.L. X 7/8" Hex, 1/2" -14 threads for 3/4" heater hose). The 7/8" hex section of the nipple measures about 7/8" in length. I removed this nipple from a 1967 Camaro Z28 water pump with casting # 3759326.

NOTE: GM # 3736495 was replaced with GM # 3849848 in June 1971 as per Chevrolet Parts History (for service parts sold over the counter). The 3849848 nipple is very similar except the the 7/8" hex section measures only about 1/4" in length.

Check your assembly manual for the part number that you need.
$10
for this water pump nipple plus shipping and Paypal fee (if applicable).

For Sale: Used Original 1997-2001 Camaro Goodyear convenience spare tire with wheel. This spare was removed from an "early" 2002 Camaro. The tire is on a 16" X 4" wheel with a 4 3/4" bolt circle. The hub hole measures 2.78" in diameter which is the typical diameter for many Chevrolet wheels made in the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's and 1980's.
This T135/60R16 spare tire measures about 5 3/8" wide (135 mm = 5.31", theoretically) and about 22" in diameter ((60% X 5.31" X 2) + 15") = 22.4", theoretically). The date code on the tire is "2601" (260th day of 2001) as shown in photo #6. The front side of the wheel (photo #2) is stamped "RNG" (the wheel code), "J", "18", "K401", and "U.S.A." where "K" = Kelsey, "N" = the plant where the wheel was made, "J" = Sept., 18 = 18th day of the month, and 01 = the year 2001. The back side of the wheel is stamped "16X4 T 4 2 DOT T USA" and "091801" (Sept, 18, 2001).

The rubber part of the tire appears to be in very good condition but is about 21.5 years old so it is probably not safe to drive on at high speed and long distances.
The backing spacing of this "RNG" wheel measures about 4 3/16", more or less, and the offset calculates to about 1 1/2" or about 45 mm, more or less.
According to my research this 16" X 4" wheel with is GM # 9592913.

$40
for the spare plus shipping cost which could be quite expensive or local pick up in Merrimack, NH (50 miles north west of Boston, MA.)

For Sale: N.O.S. 1971-1973 Camaro Fuel Cap, GM # 410431, stamped "CAUTION" and "OPEN SLOWLY" as well as "703E" in black as shown in photos #1 - #3. I just found this cap a few days ago in one of my boxes marked "Rhinebeck, NY Swap Meet - 1998". This cap is identical to the cap that I advertised on March 2nd (Item # 49).
This cap also has the large letter "S" on the rivet head as well as the Stant logo on one of the "ears" and small hole on the other "ear". The cap measures about 2 3/8" in diameter.
My 1971, 1972, and 1973 Camaro Assembly Manuals (UPC 8, Sheet 8A-2; UPC 8A, Sheet 2; and UPC 8A, Sheet 2) lists GM # 410431 as one of the fuel caps issued on the assembly line. The other cap listed is GM # 408679.

NOTE #1: The N.O.S. 410431 fuel cap shown in photo #4 which also has the black "703E" stamping was copied off the web and is for comparison purposes only. That cap is for sale by someone else on the web for $145.

NOTE #2: GM # 410431 is listed in my 1972 Chevrolet Price Schedule (July 1972) but is not listed in my 1974 Chevrolet Price Schedule (June 1974). My 1974 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (July 1974, for 1973-1975 models only) lists GM # 413754 as the fuel cap for All 1973-1974 models. The fuel cap part numbers listed in the 1974 Camaro Assembly Manual are 413755, 413754, and 417715.

$50 for the N.O.S. Fuel Cap as shown in photos #1 - #3 plus shipping and Paypal fee (if applicable).

For Sale: N.O.S. 15" X 6" JK wheel. The wheel is stamped "K-1-0", where "K" = Kelsey, "1" = Romulus, MI where the wheel was made, "7" =July, (valve hole), "30" = 30th day of the month, and "DH", the wheel code as shown in photo #3.
The Kelsey-Hayes green sticker indicates that the wheel is 15" X 6", part # X-40335, and K-H part number # 84988.
My book entitled "1970-1975 Chevrolet by the Numbers" by Alan L. Colvan as shown in photo #12 lists the "DH" wheel for the 1970 Chevrolet Passenger car RPO (exc. station wagon) with a 4 3/4" bolt circle, 2.783" diameter hub hole, and a 0.06" offset (1/16"). The wheel measures 6 7/8" in gross width width with a measured back spacing of 3 3/8". The calculated offset would then be (6.875"/2) -3.375" = 0.06" or 1/16".

NOTE #1: This wheel is also a replacement for the 1968-1969 Chevrolet passenger cars with disc brakes as well as without disc brakes, GM# 3928267, which was replaced by GM # 3961841 in July 1969 as per Chevrolet Parts History (for service parts sold over the counter) which was then replaced by GM # 3984792 in Dec. 1971. All of these wheels were 15" X 6" with a 0.06" offset.

NOTE #2:
The 1971 and newer full-size Chevrolet models used a 5" bolt cuircle.

My 1970 Chevrolet Parts Catalogs (Sept. 1969, Nov. 1969, & Jan. 1970) list GM # 39727783 for the optional 1970 Chevrolet 15" X 6" wheel but my 1970 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Oct. 1970) lists GM # 3984792 for the optional 1970 Chevrolet 15" X 6" wheel.
According to Chevrolet Parts History GM # 3972783 was replaced by GM # 3984792 in July 1970 so this wheel could be GM 3972783 or 3984792 since it was made on July 30, 1970. Both GM part numbers are dimensional the same. I could not find a cross reference for the K-H 84988 wheel to a GM part number.

The wheel is slightly "shelf worn" at the circular edges and would require a touch up with black spray paint.

$50 for the N.O.S. 15" X 6" DH wheel plus shipping cost or local pick up in Merrimack, NH (50 miles north west of Boston, MA.)
