Aguiliera made a mess of that. Between her and the Black Eyed Peas, the singing looked more like amateur hour at a local community hall than the premier American sporting event of the year.

The talent pool in music has shrunk down to nothing these days. [IMG]

Hell there's even comic relief metal to laugh at if you're an 80's child.

I know you like a lot of the metal stuff Stace, but what I mean is the entire music industry has diminished greatly talent-wise over the past couple of decades.

What really irks me that they can take a great National anthem and revamp it and sing it for there own liking instead of singing like it should be for their "Country" who watching and counting on them. Just don't get it. Sorry ...IMHO.

It's revamped or manipulated for ratings($$$) much like the evening news is now a show.

    Here's what Wikipedia says

An alteration of the second line?

That wasn't an alteration. It was an abomination.

She got it right once... well, the words, at least.

funny how that coincides with the advent of easy music theft.

I'm not stickin up for her but knowing that you're singing in front of a billion people might make you a little nervous.

Two weeks ago during the Steelers game was a National Anthem rendition that brought tears to many players.

My girl, Martina McBride, belted out a near perfect peformance.

Or have heard Rosesann sing it...

Anthem should be the same way for that last 100 odd years. I don't want to hear your rendition of it I don't wanna hear HUh in it or HAA or boom boom boom in it. FOr that matter I don't want my ear drums blown out because you decided to belt out a note so high that it shatters glass and goes on forever.

She should include that performance on her next CD. Maybe the title of the CD could be "How to make a jerk out of yourself in front of the entire world."
