I think her number one priority was to show off her pipes, getting the American National Anthem correct was somewhere down the list. Where's Roseanne when you need her......
Finally someone who gets it... I could give a rats ass if she flubbed the words (Fawn & Aces) ,I'm sure her being drunk was a good enough excuse...my beef is this isn't American Idol...I don't care to hear her "range"...just sing the damn song the way it was supposed to be sung and stop disrespecting those who have fought and died for this country. Period. Rant off...

She has pipes and the world knows she can sing, so she didn't need to turn it into some self-indulgent performance. She was probably concentrating too much on adding "her own touch" to it and flubbed the lyrics. She isn't the first person who's forgotten the words and won't be the last
I'm just sayin........the National Anthem is an extreemely hard song to sing....ask any singer.......now getting the words correct, unacceptable...changing the arangement to fit your vocal range...pathetic.
