Need Help Asap1

    I just installed my 454 at 4:00 cts in my 77. At first clance I don't see how I'm going to install a set of hooker comps for a 70-72 in this engine bay. So, give me the bad news? The headers were free so no big deal if I can't use them. Part number is as follows: 2457-1 8 of 1999. Thanks, Nick

    Have you tried bringing them up from under the car?

    Haven't tried from under neath yet. Had to make dinner. Dam, I looked at summit and just went down to the next set of cars w/o looking at the part number. ANYONE NEED A SET OF USED COATED HEADER FOR A FIRST GEN WITH A BBC? The drivers side needs 2 primary tubes dents pulled. I'll let them go real cheap since i baisiclly invested 50 in them.

    The headers MUST be for a 70-81 Camaro ,,,,,,, not just a BB

    Most likely from underneath, remove the starter and oil filter too.
    You may need to remove an engine mount bolt and lift one side of the engine etc.
    WHEN you get the right headers the above is true.


    You hace headers for a 68-74 Novs, 67-69 Camaro

    There might be a steering box issue with them as well.

    Tanks for the info folks. I guess since I have to buy the correct headers I should ask, Who's useing what headers and using the small block mounts. Otherwise I mite go the frame exit route.

    Im using hedman shortys for bb 4speed and love them.
