    Hi everyone, I need help. I bought a 1981 camaro that according to everything I’ve read and seen on the car it’s a Z28. But there’s no Trim tag or build sheet anywhere. It’s factory 305 with a Borge Warner 4 speed, 10 bolt rear, rear sway bar and everything else that makes it a z. But I don’t know how to prove it.

    Has it been repainted?

    Proper tail lights for an 81 Z?

    Stripes?
    Hood scoop?
    81 only air cleaner?

    Fender vents?

    What size sway bar in front?

    81 emissions sticker on the radiator cover.

    Aluminum blocks on the control arm bumpers?

    Rope steering wheel?

    Does it have a tire sticker in the door jamb? (Z28s got 15” tires)

    Virtually everything on a late 2nd gen can be added to a base model to clone a Z28 so without a trim tag or build sheet it will be hard to prove unless you order GM info using the VIN.
