I have a built 700r4 to go behind my 383 stroker, but is currently mated to the 350 still in the car, which I have to start pulling this week. I have 3:73 posi rear-end and at 75mph, I'm at 2500rpm or so. It has a real nice, firm shift into 2nd gear, and I can't wait to put that new engine in front of it!

^^^ on the 200 vs 700 WAR.
700r4 is cheaper/easier to build for performance use
2004R has the shifts that we all know and love BUTT...takes money and TALENT to live in a street rod.

I'm quite surprised that Saginaw can work with the Stroker.
I had assumed that coupled with a powerful engine it was a death sentence for the Saginaw.

The engine isnt the killer, it's the traction! If you get traction, that will reveal the weak links.
