Agreed totally...I could easily tell the fronts were painted and to me,they look much richer painted than polished.:)
Maybe I look at wheels more than others (go figure) but me likey the subtle detail.

I like the bumpers too but would agree they need to be darker to contrast your color better. It would matter not that they exactly match your window trim,I'd say you were close enough if you went darker on the bumpers and wheel centers.

    Nice car by the way.

PS: just saw the finished pictures...wheels look MUCH BETTER painted than polished...1,000,000,000,000,000 times better!!!:)

Hotchkis suspension and Global West control arms. Springs: fronts - one coil cut-off, rear - shackles custom length.

Thanks John. I've been experimenting with the powder coat colors. I originally had the bumpers done a slight bit darker, but the current color looks better. Problem is that it just doesn't photograph well. but the current color has a "metal flake" effect that really pops in the sun. Also, there is a glossy clear coat of powder coat over the color which gives it some depth.

When I'm done, the window trim, tail light trim and bumpers will all be the same color. I plan to remove all of the trim around he door glass, and leave the door handles and rocker molding polished, as is.

Funny though, I got the idea for the center colored wheels from your 2nd gen camaro, love that car!

Since this thread is asking for input...here's my 2 cents. The wheels look awesome painted. I'll take your word for the bumper color not photographing well. I think the bumper looks better on the back. Something about the front bumper and the body color headlight bezels doesn't seem to fit but I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the black grille. I think someone else mentioned painting the bezels black. Just a thought. All in all though you got a beautiful car!!!
