Lots of visitors from around the world! I couldn't believe how much of a diverse crowed SEMA brings in. The fake badges is a huge problem for sure....

I figured that was the case when I saw it on FB. When SEMA shuts down...lots of wanderers in the building cleaning and such.

When we are at PRI, in Indy, I worry about theft as well. They check credentials if you enter after hours. I usually check our booth before I go to our hotel for the night.

I had always heard that some Middle Eastern countries punish theft by cutting off a hand or head. If it's true, I would support that kind of punishment over here.
This kind of crap is obviously more than a kid stealing candy at a convenience store. This is felony territory to me and likely premeditated.

I believe it is Sharia law that states theft is punished by cutting off a hand, the head maybe for a second offence.

I’d rather have the thief go free than have sharia law.

Theft is alway big around car events - there are Crime Rings that concentrate only on these gatherings

Usually, a hand for the first offense. The second might be the other hand unless they figure one wasn't enough in which case they shorten you. No repeats from that one. It depends on how strict they are about Sharia (sp?).
