The Demon needs all that extra HP just to be competitive with the COPO Camaro...

If you want information on the faster car, here you go... http://gmauthority.com/blog/2016/10...vrolet-camaro-extends-the-drag-racing-legacy/

The demon isn't mopars specific drag car, the 1000 hp drag pack challenger is. Hot Rod mag. even did an article on it back in June 16 maybe.

At least you don't disagree that the COPO, with over 200 less HP is faster and quicker.

The few Demons that are sold will either be garage queens or become drag cars. Very, very few will ever see any significant amount of time on the streets. Those few that do may end up like many Mustangs do when they leave a cars and coffee...

I'm sure there's a lot of truth to that. The majority of people that will have them, don't need to have them. I work for FCA but I'm a Bow Tie man! I have pay check loyalty. Lol

Fastest ET I've seen the newer Copo Camaro's run is a 8.90ET . The Demon is currently 9.65 ET but with a simple pulley swap on the supercharger and running race fuel I think it's an 8 second car easily

What would it cost for someone to buy one of these?

3,300 units is a real production car. In 1969 only 1,163 Roadrunners were sold with the Hemi, if you throw in Chargers it adds only 621. Which means there are going to be more Demons made than multiple models with the same Hemi back then. 3,300 is a high volume performance package compared to anything in the past or present.
