The gnat's ass is that some people are all going crazy about a car that 99.9% of them will never drive - much less own.

I'd much rather have a slightly lower powered car that will actually handle well than something like that. Remind me the last time Dodge took one of their cars to the Nurburgring and published the times.

Or aren't bloated whales allowed there?

9 Second street cars that see strip action are more common than you think with the advent of the LS engine.

Like I said already on another site COPO Camaro: Not Banned at the Drag strip but not issued a VIN.

Demon: Banned by the NHRA but issued a VIN...

I guess we wont be seeing the COPO Kill the Demon at the drags and cannot see the two meet on the street either, in this instance GM gets the equation exactly right.

From my prospective having put some seat time in a HellCat a couple of years ago, my opinion of the car was basically that it is a point and shoot drag racer. Overall had a dangerous feel like a Viper (on the street)

Finally at least a guy who builds a fast car typically knows how to drive it, and that is very important on the street when your actions or lack of skill can kill or injure others just out for a ride to the store... I am afraid that the guys with the ego and no skills will go for the Demon just like they did for the Viper two decades ago and kill and injure others in the process. I still remember the Viper owner who planted his car into turn 3 at IMS and then ruined the high speed parade lap for the rest of us -permanently.

    Its

    Actually they have, it's 804hp.

If you change the rims, stereo, rear gear, etc, is it still a production car? Yes it is actually.

Going by your moronic logic, my Ram 2500 diesel is no longer a "production" vehicle because the tuner I added boosted the power to 550hp & 1050lbft.

Wow you are either delusional or just ignorant, maybe both. A body in white drag car is faster than a production car with air bags, carpet, stereo, power windows & locks, etc, who'da thought!

Demand will be greater than supply, I guarantee you that.

I do enjoy driving my car hard...and not worrying about blazing the tires at more than 1/4 throttle (Demon)

that amount of power has got to be scary on the street

No need for personal attacks. Ball busting is good, animosity is bad. Champ is a very opinionated guy and that's OK.

With nothing for front tires it'll be interesting to see what happens when someone tries to turn the corner. Too much power for most.
