Used C4s usually don't cost a lot, either. I think the hinged front end would be nice for working on the engine, at least.

Are you going to race your C5?

C4 Vettes are maybe the biggest performance bargains right now. You can get a good one for under $10K. I’ve been resisting buying a 95-96 for a couple of years.

With my C5, I’ll do auto-x in it, as my dad did before me.
It’s got 170K on the original engine. I’ll probably build an LS2-LS6 hybrid for it before it sees track days.
Gonna sell the Subaru to fund the engine

Think I've seen that car and driver in Scottsdale, didn't he drive the original Cobra before?
I've been eyeing those Vettes for a while, my buddy has a 96 that he and his wife bought new, 50k miles, Quasar blue I believe.

My dad and I are planning on buying a c4.....
to cut it up and turn it into a frame car sort of like what roadkill did

Man, I want those shocks!
I had the option to do Penske shocks when I built my suspension but I just didn't have the cash. Those Ridetechs are of the same caliber, super nice, expensive shocks.

The Ridetechs are actually Fox, and they are impressive.
Honestly - you're lucky you didn't use the Penske's, they are race pieces don't hold up very long under street use. I recall one of my buddies being very happy to have gotten 2000 miles out of a set of the Penke's
