Been quite busy these last 4-5 days bringing this car back from the dead after sitting 3+ years but I had a interested buyer on the hook so long story short...he paid me almost exactly what I was looking to get...in cash...and I no longer own what was once one of my dreamcars.

He wanted it with the original 14" SS wheels so I cleaned them up (man...I hate raised white letters! :( ) and re-installed those today:

He has a bad-ass Porsche that he's in the process of sinking $8k into the suspension @ Spiderworks to match the upgrades he's made in the performance department so he's got the car to auto-x and track with...which he does. This car will be his cruiser for him and his buddies (hence the auto-trans) and he told me yesterday on the test drive he'd like an additional 200hp...I told him to lose the BB (and the weight) and drop in an LS motor...that's the beauty of a non-matching #car :p .

Mary told me today she has a nasty LS motor she'd be willing to part with so I will broach the subject...;)

He also looked at both Camaro's and said he'd pay me what I want for the '69 if I still have it in January.

Must be nice to have cash to piss away like this guys does. I will have the car here for another couple of weeks doing small stuff but trust me when I say...it will be sad to see it go and for perhaps the first time in my life...I will not look back at it when it's rolling on that flatbed leaving my home.

    Congrats John.

What did it actually sell for? No weiner contest, genuinely curious.
I liked the aftermarket rims you had on it better

He came damn close to the $36k I was asking with the SS wheels...:p

He had the option of which wheel he preferred to purchase the car with and went with the stock, sleeper look. Had I run it through auction...which I was this close to doing...I certainly would have done the same thing.

    Anyhow...getting back to your question,no...they won't fit a 2nd Gen...too much b/s.

    Here's the specs:

    Fronts:
    18x9 (5.5" b/s) 275/35-18
    Rears:
    18x10 (5.75" b/s) 305/35-18

Yeah Laine-O...this all kinda happen real fast...I was hoping to enjoy the car just a bit but oh well...we move onto the '70 next as soon as we can.
Funny car comes out of the trailer and comes home...body off...and now with some cash flow,we can make some headway! :p

Best to just keep that in the past and move on. I learn from my mistake, I'm trying to avoid the SP section now. I'm going to be keeping my opinions on certain subjects to myself from now on. = :) ;) ;) :innocent:
