Had someone mention that NSRA and "Camaro" seemed wrong, as in the past NSRA was for pre-1948 vehicles. I remember those days as well. Regardless, the local rep out of Memphis convinced me to join and go to Louisville in August, which is an easy trip for me as my oldest Son lives in Louisville (so I have a free place to stay...). Since my Mother-in-Law still lives in Springfield MO; went to the show last weekend (easy trip to make, the wife gets to spend time with her Mom; and I get to go look at cars!). Will only make notice that were it not for post-1948 vehicles, there wouldn't be a show. At least 60% of the vehicles were "later" models. And, several nice "F" Body cars....

Wasn't aware they had blurred the lines between "street rod" and "street machine". Whatever works! Great pictures!

Its been a number of years ago that the NSRA changed the years of the cars that could attend. Some of the street rod guys weren't happy. I hate to say it but many of the street rod folks are aging out.
The biggest car show in MN is Back To Fifties later this month in St.Paul MN.. Almost 9000 pre-registered as of late April. 1964 and older cars only. It's a great show. I've never had anything old enough to attend but have been a spectator a number of times. Great swap meet on Sunday.

On the Back to the 50's application is states "no 64 1/2 Mustangs". The trouble is that the 50's car show completely fills up the fair grounds. Parking around the show to get in the morning drives some of the locals crazy.
We attend the July car that was Car Craft and now Street Machine Nationals. You bring can anything and even full on race cars and drive them as long as you stay within the fair grounds. Last year I think they had 8000? cars over the three days.
