Off Car Door Rack

    looking for some ideas or pictures of some type of holder to hold a off car door up around waste high in a upright position to take apart and rebuild, anyone?

    Check with Eastwood. They carry a decent selection of racks.

    We use these to paint panels. Don't know if this would work for you. Maybe take some ideas from it and make something more suitable.

    Great Idea. How about some pic's of the way it is mounted. I used to have a table I made from 2 old pedestal Fans. The 2 base parts I cut one off short and welded it to the base part of the pipe inside. Lets you raise and lower. I gave it away thinking I would never need it again. It was one of those items that takes up a lot of room.

    i like that, like above a picture of mounting to the stand if possible would be nice.

    I made a simple adapter to my floor jack. It does require somewhat specific clamps. I mainly made it to help with removing and reattaching the door to the body, but it could be used to work on the internals. Not as nice as the engine stand idea as far as working on the inside.     I just adjusted the arms to fit the door. No adaptor required. When I get home I will look to see if I have a picture of the hinge area.
