I don't wish this on anyone - Gall Bladder. Just returned from the hospital. Excruciatingly painful. Worst I ever had. I have to wear a balloon to catch all the blood that's still in the cavity of where the bladder was. If you start getting serious back/stomach pain go see a doctor asap!

My wife had her gallbladder removed.
bfm..hope you heal quickly. Be aware, fatty, greasy, processed, and sugary foods can/will affect you until your body adjusts.
It can cause painful gas, bloating, and diarrhea.
Let's just say Ozium wasn't quite cutting in at bedtime. The greens gas can be powerful....🤢

Just saw your X-rays. Your surgeon did some very tidy work. Th screws are solidly in place, nothing close to the edges which can splinter off. Anterior approach is a better way to get in there. You're gonna feel so much better. I don't see any Allograft or Bone Morphogenic Protein packed in there...so is he relying solely on the instrumentation? Did he harvest bone from your hip? Cadaver?

Nothing harvested from the hip. They did mention the spacers and something added (don't recall what it was) mixed with bone fragments which would eventually heal to fuse the vertebra.
