Oily Plugs

Inhertited a used 350 from a buddy's streetrod. Motor starts and runs fine - haven't had it on the road though becasuse the car isn't all together yet. Just been moving it in and out of the garage. Noticed oil around several plugs, so I pulled them and they're wet. Not sure from where though.

Any advice to diagnose this?

Could be from who knows what... Stuff sitting around ... Stuff being moved...

Engine was sitting in shop for a while? Clean or replace them clean the head, and etc. Engine is out? It's easy enough to pull the head and inspect the cylinder and head.

I would pull the valve covers and take a peek at the umbrella seals on the valve stems. They can split and allow oil to pass into the cylinder.

Might be some cold (range) plugs for the street rod running. What are they? Might go a number hotter but with the limited run time it's may be too soon to see what the deal is.
