    Hi Guys,
I been looking at remote nitrous bottle openers. They are expensive and require wiring and switches to be installed. Couldn't a guy just put a ball valve somewhere on the nos line where he could reach it from the driver seat? Fast on. Fast off. Way less $$$ and way less time. Probably less likely to fail, as well.

Is there any folly in what I'm thinking of here?
    Thanks.

Looks like it would be quick and easy. Have to add getting hose spliced or buying a pre made section of hose to cost.

Ya. I was thinking about a new line or 2 for it. I'm just a nitrous noob and although it seems like it'd be fine to me, I thought I'd ask if anyone else knows of a problem in doing it this way.

That would be nice on the street but I know it's not legal for the track.

Remote bottle opener is $250, and can be wired up in under an hour. If that is too expensive and difficult, chances are you shouldn't be running nitrous, for the safety of yourself and others.

Seems like the ball valve would be less dangerous and more fail proof than relying on wires, a switch and an electric motor.

You could always put the ball valve at the bottle and use a cable to operate it. A choke cable would work if the valve works smoothly enough.

I know nothing about nitrous. But, i was going to suggest a 12volt dc electric ball valve, but i see the bottle opener actually opens the bottle. If you were to use a motorized ball valve, (which most will close when power is removed), would still leave your bottle open.
