I'm trying to find out what the colors of two wires are for the front center speaker connection for the U58 option (am-fm stereo) radio for the years 1974 & 1975 Camaro. My 1974 Camaro service books do not show the U58 wiring diagrams even though this was the first year stereo was available, maybe someone can chime in that has later editions of '74 or a '75 manuals for the colors or members with the stereo option that can take a peek under their dash for 74-75 Camaro's. Much appreciated.
I had that type of radio in my '75 maybe the U58 from a '76 diagram will help. Thought enhance my download from our archive.
Thanks, but the '76 not much help because the sound systems have gone to 4 speaker system. I need information for the 2-speakers (1-front & 1-back) that the '74 & '75 U58 option has.
I only see two speakers in the 76 U58 option. That I'm aware of... No 2nd gen Camaros came with four speakers. If there are 9 connections on the radio... I would trust this diagram for it.
Your totally correct, my bad. So diagram is good and shows colors to front speaker to be purple and black with white stripe. Thanks guys.
