Think the valve covers would be better if you sprayed them the same black as the intake, and used blue fine line tape to tape the edge up. The fine line tape leaves a super crisp edge. With them being orange they clash right now, black they'd match the rest.

Agree with above paint the valve covers to match the intake. I would maybe use a better tape to get a better edge.

Still looks a lot better than before and will sure spruce up your engine bay ! Good luck

they will clash with the intake i guess, but the block is already the chevy orange. The line is more crisp in person, the pictures distort it a little.

My block was chevy orange but I painted it black. Best thing I ever did looks so much better now. But you don't want to much black either !

Im going to at least bolt them on just to see what they look like on the motor. Part of the fun of all this is just trying different things.

I know the covers were not liked by everyone, but i threw them on anyway...i think they look Ok now that they are on. I have moved on to other problem areas so they are staying like this for now anyway lol. here are some pics of it.

They definitely look neat, haven't seen that style done to the covers in a long time. Another idea, woulda taken a bit of patience, would be to primer the entire cover, mask off the letters and bowtie surround(pretty much everything that's raised), paint covers black, then paint letters and bowtie surround the orange. or vice versa, covers orange, then letters & bowtie black.
