piston stop method

whats up guys I understand the whole piston stop methodjust wondering where is the starting point I'm not 100 percent sure where my TDC is so this is vital thanks!

go clockwise until you hit the stop, mark it on the balancer.. then go counterclockwise until you hit the stop... mark it...
halfway between the two is TDC...
mark it.;)

it shouldn't matter which way you turn it first. mark where the timing mark on the balancer ends up. depending on the balancer you have tdc will either be at 12 or 2 o'clock. then adjust your timing tab to match

Back off the valve adjustment for that cylinder so there's no chance of hanging a valve on the piston stop. Especially with angle plug heads.

Well did the piston stop and my pointer is now basically at 2 o'clock position. although my balancer markers are off . Guess I will just use my timing tape and set the zero at TDC
