Not sure if this is the right forum area for this, but it's located in the steering column, so here goes.
I'm replacing a cracked cancelling cam. Very tedius. I'm putting the new cam back together. There are two brass pieces that cover 4 springs. I've been taking pics all the way, but this is one shot I didn't take, so I had to guess at their orientation. I'm at a standstill because I don't want to put everything back together and find out I've got it wrong. Please look at this pics and tell me if the two brass pieces on the right look correct. They don't feel right. The 4 springs underneath are right, but the brass arms don't swivel back and forth smoothly. Have I got the wrong one on top? Should they point in opposiite directions. I figured they should point at each other because they both have a dimple at the center. Any chance someone has a pic showing the right positions? I'm really in a pinch here. Thanks very much for your help.
