    Hi,

I'm thinking about going to HEI (1973 Z28), if I do so, is it then correct, that the + wire from the coil, is not to be used, and the - wire will go to tach on the HEI?

    Thanks,
    John

I found this youtube video, but his wiring sure looks crude.

If you have the piece of the harness that connects to the distributor and the tach, from whatever car the HEI distributor came from that I'm sure would be helpful.

On my 70 the tach wire went to the tach terminal on the HEI dist. I cut the resistor wire at the firewall connector and connected a standard copper wire to the stub of it to power the HEI with full voltage.
