The X codes were only on Norwood built cars and weren't used at all early in the production run. I think late December was the first X codes.

Just for clarification, there is no box shaped riser on a ‘69. The trans tunnel is the same AT or MT but an MT has a torch cut, rectangular hole. Looks kinda crude but that’s what the factory did. In order to install an AT floor shifter one would have to cover or patch said hole.

big thing on a 69 Z is the firewall punches for the muncie speedo cable... the speedo cable retainer clips are also IMPOSSIBLE to find and people pay as much as $100 each for them.
I have been messing with 69's much much longer than 2nd gens and know the ins and outs on them as good or better than most.
FIRSTGENADDICT on the CRG Yenko etc.

The head marking is a dead giveaway. Nobody in their right mind would swap double hump 186 heads for 3927185 heads which were used on:
    Chev/Pass 327/235
    Chevelle 307/200
    Camaro 307/200, 327/210
    Chevy II 307/200

I was expecting this thread to end with something like “turns out it’s a one of one that the head of gm bought as a manual but had converted to an automatic test car and then back to a manual” lolz
