Thanks to Mountaineer, I was able to install a Delco AM/FM cassette n the '81.

Previous owner installed a DIN stereo, so had to do some modifications and fabricate a faceplate.

Now I need to find some stock knobs...

My first time at the helm in nearly 40 years. I had to go out alone since my wife had been sick for 3 weeks and wasn't up to going out. I was so busy trying to remember what did what that I forgot to keep an eye out for gusts and nearly dumped it.
My brother and sister were here earlier this summer, both of whom crewed for us when they were in high school and college. I had hoped to recreate those days but it wasn't happening without wind. I particularly was hoping to recreate the time my brother fell out in really rough weather in the fall. We were doing pretty well in the race and he lost his footing and went over backwards, grabbing a line as he went. That was like a big anchor so I instinctively yelled at him to let go and we'd get him the next time around the course which would have been at least a half hour with him bobbing around in the cold water.
He told me a couple of years ago that I had scarred him for life with the thought that his own brother would leave him out in the lake for the sake of a good finish in the race.

Looking good... Concrete is so much better than asphalt for a driveway. :)
