I was HEAVY into slot cars when I was a kid. Loved my Ferrari P312.
I started back into them about 5 years ago when a friend said to me that instead of buying models buy slot cars so you can race them as well as display them.
We race once a week for about 4 hours. It's funny two of the guys I race with used to be into them as kids and got back into them a few months back. I'm 60 and am the youngest in the group.

I was also into slot cars! I'm old...lol...I started back in the early 1960's. Raced ALL the time. Life happened and I got out of it until an old friend told me there was still a track in Denver. This was around 1999. To me, it was like going in time machine to the future, they came a long way! What a blast. They had a spec series that kept the costs down we raced every Saturday night.

Hit the parts lottery today at the last big swap meet of the year today. I picked up 4 BBC dual plane intakes for $480. A mint C-427X, 2 gm Performance intakes (one new in the box) and a used RPM performer oval port all port matched. I also got a Holley 80870 vs for $100 (sold it an hour later for $250) form the same guy, went back and he had 2 FAST efi throttle bodies for $20 a pair. Bought two 2" open 4150 spacers for $10 also.

Hmmm... want to sell the throttle body with black rails?

Went to another swap meet today, Picked up a Brodix HV-1000 single plane race intake
a pair of stainless 1 3/4" merge collectors and a new MSD Pro Power ign coil for $300. I thought I got a pretty good deal.

Been watching this for a while. Then after clean up in Florida I went and looked at it a couple of times. 1969 CST C/10. Crusty but that’s what I wanted. 55000 miles. Drove it about 10 miles on township and state roads then 40 miles on the highway at 70 miles an hour home. 350 3 on the tree runs great. Will probably put a 5 speed in it and lower it and drive it. Just a toy for winter in Florida.
