Are you stretching the sidewalls out too far on a 10" wheel vs a 9.5" wheel? Is your front end stock, that sounds like a really wide tire for the front. Would like to run something that wide but it seems like everyone runs a 245 up front.....

    looking forward to the Pics!

Im currently running a 255/40/17 tire up front - 17X8 - 4.5" BS - no issues. I know Im taking a risk but Im going to take some measurements first when its fully reassembled - and full weight on vehicle

Sorry to revive an old post but this mod is useful as hell for the problem I'm having with my sway bar rubbing a little.

Off the shelf Cragar Soft 8 BS:
    17x8" - 4.5" BS
    17x9" - 5" BS
I'm thinking about getting a 17x9" - 5.5" BS so I can run the same size tire at all four corners, but I have the balance pretty decent right now with what I have on the car.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm going to order them now, just need to pick the right tires. I think the car might have been lowered but guess I'll find out the hard way. Ha.

    Thanks again!

I'm running Moog 707# shorter than stock springs in the front and 1 degree of neg camber(top of the tire tilts in), 5.8 degrees of caster, that said the 255/40/17 tires do not rub anywhere except at hard turn to the lock where it rubs the 1.375" swaybar enough to wear off the cadium plating. My car is sitting pretty low, I have to pick up on the fender to get a low profile jack under the engine crossmember.
